Every home is different and every home is interesting! We’ve assemble a few pictures for you to view of what we have discovered during our “Schedule A” Inspection. Here is an example on the right of what the Infrared Camera can find. Missing insulation such as this can result in uncomfortable temperatures and higher heating/cooling costs.

What caught my eye was the slight gray discoloration of the upper gable wall.. time to pull out the Infrared Cam!

After further investigation it was found that this exterior wall was poorly Insulated.
Here on the right after review of this bedroom with our Infrared camera we discovered missing Insulation “cold spot”. With further evaluation we discovered that wind had caused the Blown-in insulation to be moved around in the attic. This causes condensation to occur behind the ceiling drywall due to the lack of a thermal break between the warm home and cool attic. We Used our Non invasive Moisture Detector and also discovered that there was moisture accuminating behind the drywall ceiling

In the pictures to the left you will see the advantages of the camera. There was no access to inspect the gable exterior wall from the attic effectively. However the implication of this wall with low R-Value has caused condensation to form, higher cooling/heating costs and Uncomfortable living.
